If you are considering using a travel agency, look closely at the different agencies and what they offer. Ask to see the licence of any travel agent that you deal with.
Travel agents must be members of the Travel Compensation Fund. If you suffer a financial loss because of a travel agent´s actions, you can claim compensation from this fund.
Resolving complaints
If you have a complaint about a travel agent, write to the manager and try to resolve it directly with them first.
If you are unhappy with the response, you can lodge a complaint with us or make a claim with the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal.
