Legal requirements

Travel agents must comply with several laws and regulations.

Advertise your application
You must advertise your intention to apply for a travel agent licence in a newspaper. Any person may object to us granting the licence.

Inspections
Fair Trading inspectors conduct random checks to ensure you are complying with the law. You can also report inappropriate or unlicensed activity.

Travel Compensation Fund
You must continue to contribute to the fund to hold a travel agent licence.
