Moving to Queensland?

You can transfer a current, valid licence from interstate or New Zealand to the equivalent licence in Queensland.

What’s changing

These new laws will come into effect later in 2014:

Until then, you will still need to follow the Property Agents and Motor Dealers Act 2000 and regulations.

The new law will reduce red tape for your business.

The following changes will apply:

Auctioneers

You will need to be licensed as a chattel auctioneer when you auction vehicles or other goods. If you also handle property auctions, you will need a separate licence.

The licence class called trainee auctioneer will be abolished.
