Objections to registration of a charity |
Anyone may lodge an objection with us to the registration of a charity. The grounds that they may do so are:
- it is not a charity
- it is not established in good faith as a charity
- its objectives are currently covered by an existing registered charity
- it will not be properly administered
- an inappropriate person is associated with the charity´s management.
To lodge an objection
If an objection is made, we will give the applicant written notice on whether the objection has been accepted or rejected. To lodge an objection:
- complete Collections Form 3 - Objection to registration (PDF, 212 KB)
- attach evidence that a copy of the objection has been served on the organisation
- lodge the form with us (see form for lodgement details).
