Contract of sale
The document is a legal contract agreeing to the sale of a property between you and the seller.
Pay the deposit
The deposit formalises your offer. Paying a deposit does not guarantee the property is yours.
Residential property contracts have a five day cooling-off period.
Home and contents insurance
Take out property/building insurance from the day of signing the contract. You should also consider taking out contents insurance.
Inspections of the property will help you identify any problems with the home.
