Introduction services |
If you are considering joining an introduction agency, look closely at the different agencies and what they have to offer. Ask to see the licence of any introduction agent that you deal with.
Insist on a full, detailed written contract that includes:
- a minimum number of introductions within a specified time
- a privacy policy that details how they store and destroy your personal details
- their criteria for suitable introductions and how they make introductions
- the total minimum fee you will pay for the service.
Read the contract carefully before signing and understand exactly what you are paying for.
Keep a signed copy of the contract for your records.
Cancelling your contract
If you wish cancel your contract, check its terms and conditions.
Agents do not usually refund your application or joining fee, and you may also have to pay a cancellation fee.
Resolving complaints
If you have a complaint about an introduction agent, write to the manager and try to resolve it directly with them first.
If you are unhappy with the response, you can lodge a complaint with us or make a claim with the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal.
