Cooling-off period

Printable view Printable view

Under the Fair Trading (Code of Practice - Fitness Industry) Regulation 2003, all new agreements must have a 48-hour cooling-off period. The period begins when client signs a membership agreement and ends 48 hours after they sign up. If a client signs a membership agreement before the fitness centre is open for business, the cooling-off period ends 48 hours after the fitness centre starts operating.

If a client wants to cancel the agreement, they must write to you before the end of the cooling-off period.
