Printable view Printable view

The Standing Committee of Officials on Consumer Affairs (SCOCA) is conducting national consultation on consumer protection in the travel and travel-related services market. A consultation Regulatory Impact Statement (RIS) seeking comments on potential reform options has been prepared.

In addition, the report entitled "Review of consumer protection in the travel and travel-related services market" prepared by PriceWaterhouseCoopers on behalf of SCOCA was released under the Freedom of Information Act 1982. A copy of that report is also available.

The Commonwealth Government is seeking public input on the proposed changes in the RIS.

Consultation closed on 1 April 2011.
