Below are some resources we have produced to meet the specific needs of certain groups, for Fair Trading related information.

Youth

Get out there website
Interactive website for school leavers. Topics include budgeting, getting a job, starting a university degree or apprenticeship, renting or buying a house and making major purchases. It also provides a handy budget planner.

Buy Smart Competition
This competition runs each year for school students in grades 5-12. It allows children to develop consumer skills and win prizes for themselves and their school.

Low income earners

Budgeting is important for all consumers, but especially those with lower income levels. We provide a budget planner to help you keep track and manage your income and spending.

People of non-English speaking background

Translating and Interpreting Service website
We make general fair trading information available through the Translating and Interpreting Service. If you call 131 450 (cost of a local call), an operator will access the information you need and convey it to you through an interpreter.
