Our department's internet systems are part of its electronic business systems and must be used in accordance with Queensland Government Information Standards 18, 38 and 42:

When communicating with our department via the internet, including email, all electronic communication (including attachments) must comply with these standards, and with the criminal law of Queensland and the Commonwealth.

Incoming or outgoing emails or attachments containing offensive, malicious or illegal content will be blocked and may be reviewed by JAG’s information security officer.

Offending emails will be responded to with an automated reply advising that the email has been blocked.

If the email is from a Queensland or Commonwealth government department, and it has been blocked because its content may be in breach of the Queensland Government Standards, the email may later be sent to the originating department for action.

If the email contains content which is considered to be a breach of the criminal law, the email will be reported to the Queensland Police Service.

If one of your emails is blocked, you may contact the JAG IT Service Desk on 07 3239 0001.
