Licence types

Anyone conducting the business of debt collection or process serving in Queensland must register with us. If you are unsure whether you need a licence, please contact us.

Some jobs require a licence, while others require a registration certificate. You may need an individual licence and/or a corporate licence.

Individual licence

Commercial agent licence - allows an individual to find or repossess goods, collect or request debt payments, serve a writ, claim, summons application or other process.

Corporate licence

Corporate commercial agent licence - allows a company to find or repossess goods, collect or request debt payments, serve a writ, claim, summons application or other process.

Registration certificate

Commercial subagent registration certificate - allows an employee of a commercial agent to find or repossess goods, collect or request debt payments, serve a writ, claim, summons application or other process.
