Update details
Limited liability partnership
To notify us of a change in the registered details for a limited liability partnership:
- complete Partnership Act Form 3 - Change of details relating to limited partnership (PDF, 437 KB)
- attach any required supporting documentation
- pay the $58.00 fee
- lodge the application.
Incorporated limited partnership
To notify us of a change in the registered details for an incorporated limited partnership:
- complete Partnership Act Form 6 - Changes in registered details of incorporated limited partnership (PDF, 213 KB)
- attach any required supporting documentation
- pay the $58.00 fee
- lodge the application.
Associated business name
You must notify us of any change to the registered particulars of the associated business name within one month of the change.
Renew registration
Limited partnerships remain in effect until they are dissolved or ceased. You do not need to renew the registration.
However, you need to renew the business name associated with this partnership on an annual or triennial basis.
Cancel registration
When you dissolve or cease to operate a limited liability partnership, you must:
- complete Partnership Act Form 4 - Dissolution or cessation of a limited partnership (PDF, 395 KB)
- ensure the form is signed by all general partners
- pay the $18.50 fee
- lodge the form.
When you cease business as an incorporated limited partnership, you must:
- complete Partnership Act Form 10 - Cessation of business by an incorporated limited partnership (PDF, 401 KB)
- ensure the form is signed in accordance with the partnership agreement
- pay the $18.50 fee
- lodge the form.
When the registration of the incorporated limited partnership as a VCLP, ESVCLP or AFOF has been revoked:
- complete Partnership Act Form 8 - Notice of revocation as a Venture Capital Limited Partnership (VCLP), Early Stage Venture Capital Limited Partnership (ESVCLP) or Australian Venture Capital Fund Of Funds (AFOF) (PDF, 401 KB)
- pay the $18.50 fee
- lodge the form within seven days of the partnership being revoked.
When the incorporated limited partnership ceases to be a VCMP:
- complete Partnership Act Form 9 - Notice of cessation as a venture capital management partnership (VCMP) (PDF, 404 KB)
- pay the $18.50 fee
- lodge the form within seven days of the partnership ceasing.
If you cancel the associated business name registration, notify us within one month of the change.
