What is a residential service?
Private boarding houses, supported accommodation hostels and aged rental accommodation that are not exempt are all residential services.
Register a residential service
You must register your residential service before you can operate.
What is accreditation?
Accreditation improves standards in Queensland’s residential services industry.
Apply for accreditation
Within six months of becoming registered, you must apply for accreditation.
Renew accreditation
Renew your accreditation no more than three months before it expires.
Change a residential service provider
Complete this form to change your residential service’s provider or associate. Some student accommodation is exempt from residential services requirements.
Student accomodation
Some student accommodation is exempt from the requirements of the the Act. To claim the exemption, you must prove that you provide accommodation mainly to people enrolled in approved study courses.
