Interim Ban on Baby dummies and chains with decorations or ´bling´

The Office of Fair Trading is warning consumers that baby dummies and chains or cords on dummies with decorations encrusted have been banned from supply in Australia. The decorations, commonly known as 'bling' include crystals, beads and other similar ornaments attached to the ring, handle, plug or shield.

If the decorations detach from the dummy they may become a choking, inhalation or ingestion hazard creating a risk of death, injury or serious illness.
