For auctioneers

Registering bids

You must keep a register of all bidders at an auction.

Ensure that you register all bidders before the auction starts. Bidders must provide suitable identification to register.

Give registered bidders a marker, such as a numbered card or baton, to indicate when they bid.

Vendor bids

You must acknowledge all bids that the vendor makes. However, you cannot accept vendor bids after the auction reaches the reserve price.

You cannot disclose a bidder´s identity to anyone except to facilitate the property sale.
