Accessing information

The Office of Fair Trading (OFT) is making it easier to access information about it´s structure, services, finances, policies, registers and lists, as well as information released through right to information (RTI) requests.

There are several options available to access this information. You can:


Check to see if the information you're looking for is already available
 

OFT services are provided by the Department of Justice and Attorney-General (DJAG). You can also check the website to see if there are areas of the department that might have what you are looking for.


Contact us if the information is not already available

If you cannot find the required information on either the OFT or DJAG websites, contact us. We'll help determine if the information is accessible through an administrative release process, or we'll advise if you need to make an RTI application to access it.

Information on how to make a valid application, the application fee and any associated costs is found on our website. This information should be read before submitting your RTI application.

You can make an RTI application online, or download the Queensland Government RTI application form and submit it by fax, email or mail to:
